One of our offices has now received two denials on patients of ours from
MEDICARE stating they were denying the claims for inconsistent history.
Medicare refuses to talk to us about it, says we don't have a right to
appeal, and that we can't even proceed with any kind of claim, until we fix
the issue, which, again, they won't explain to us and won't talk to us
about.
To say the least, we are shocked, we have never seen or HEARD of something
like this before. Both are bilaterals, one claim is for a replacement
socket and one is for the untreated amputated side.
Have any of you? Any guess as to what might be going on? These aren't any
strange or unusual cases, so we don't know what to make of this.
Thanks in advance!
