Polling the group for thoughts on alignment for an active 18 yr old male, 72 tall, 300 lbs. He is a right transtibial, right trans humeral (very short and treated like a shoulder level) secondary to neisseria meningitidis ~10 years ago. Missing calcaneus on the left foot. His center of gravity is just wonky to say the least and always been a challenge to get reasonable alignment because it looks decent for a couple of steps, then it's off again. His residual limb is a nice length, never any skin issues and knee is stable. He has a body powered arm prosthesis he uses when needed so he's not wearing this during our leg visits. Excessive varus thrust is an issue so an offset plate was used to outset the foot. He walks unassisted, active kid, enjoys cooking and basketball. I've been seeing him for over 6 years for both upper and lower extremities. Socket design is TSB with ball bearing Bulldog lock and Alpha silicone liner. My thought is some additional gait training with a physical therapist to work on his core and body dynamics, and that is the plan. I welcome any constructive thoughts.
