Hello,
My name is Sean Walters, I am a senior at the University of Connecticut
studying Biomedical Engineering. For our senior project, my group and I are
hoping to conduct research about the optimization of prostheses for
para-athletes. We have met with some experts in the field, Professors Duffy
Felmlee and Stephen Charry from the University of Hartford, who informed us
that companies are sometimes willing to donate spare or extra prosthetic
parts for educational purposes. We were wondering if anyone would be
willing to donate a running prosthesis for our senior design project. We
have designed an add-on to transform a K4 prosthesis to a K3 prosthesis but
need a running blade itself to perform bench tests to validate our design.
If you would like to set up a time to meet in order to discuss the project
in more detail we would be more than willing to get the team together for
that. Thank you for your time, I look forward to hearing from you!
Best,
Sean Walters
