Greetings,
I am working with a 64 year old, K2 Level, Female Knee Disarticulation patient who had reactions to the silicone lanyard locking liner she used with her Prep Prosthesis. I ended up fitting her with a Gel liner and all of her problems were resolved.
I am now starting a Suction Suspension Prosthesis for her. Any suggestions as to what gel liner I can use that will accommodate an added seal- in ring or is made with a ring?? Otherwise, I’m thinking of either folding the top edge of the gel liner down and fitting the prosthesis over it to create a seal or fitting the socket over the liner and folding the top edge of the liner over the proximal trim for the needed suction seal.
Thoughts??
Thank you.
