Greetings -
I am seeking a local CP (retired or practicing) to assist in screening
participants for a federally funded research project on which I serve as
the Principal Investigator. The project is evaluating a novel intervention
to reduce fear of falling and promote activity in persons with transtibial
amputation. To participate, individuals must have a well-fitting socket and
healthy residual limb. To date these inclusion criteria have been
ascertained through on-site screening by the study CP. Unfortunately, the
study CP is no longer able to continue this role and we are seeking a
replacement.
The time commitment is minimum – each screening lasts approximately 30
minutes, and we anticipate no more than 2 screenings per month for the next
6-12 months. However, you must have a flexible schedule to be able to
accommodate the participant, and must be able to travel to Rosalind
Franklin University in North Chicago, IL to conduct the screenings. You
would be paid a negotiated consultant fee for each screening that covers
travel and time. There is also potential to be included as an author on
study publications.
If you are interested in hearing more about the opportunity, please contact
me directly.
