Dear List!
Those who used this skin know that Otto Bock lost the supplier and,
although, looking for a new manufacturer, removed this item from the
catalog. Of course, this was not the most durable product by any means;
however, it had applications for multiple reasons. The main reason I used
it a lot is the ease of removal and reapplication. The DAW easy-on skin
tends to be very short, as it is designed to have a proximal portion as
well. Glueing and un-gluing DAW or PRS skins is possible but never has a
nice outcome. Vinyl skins (Alps) are priced right but once they shrink,
they must be destroyed for removal. Any thoughts on removable skins?
Question to other manufacturers: there is certainly a market for
lightweight removable skins like Otto Bocks'. Why not fill this niche?
Stephan
