Hi all,
I know that Medicare won’t pay for L3000; looks like Medicare just covers diabetic orthotics (A5513 or A5512) for diabetic patients. However When I check same & similar for my new patients, I see a lot that patient was provided orthotics by DPM and Medicare was billed for L3000 and DPM has been paid!
This is confusing me! Medicare just doesn’t pay us?
how come DPMs bill L300 and get paid? Happens a lot that when I tell to my new patients that custom orthotics are NOT covered by Medicare if you are not diabetic, they get upset and try to go back to their DPM!
Any thoughts?
