We are a pediatric facility and often add a soft inner boot to AFOs. 12A Aliplast is used most often but sometimes puff or pelite. We have a couple of issues with fabrication and I'm wondering if anyone has a solution. So, the 12A has a learning curve to use without thinning the material and we are well past that. The other materials are more problematic:
* Puff will not stick to itself after heating in the oven, making it difficult to form to the positive model. We are trying adhesive now.
* Polycar-C is what we use for carbon reinforcement and it won't stick to the puff or pelite making it difficult to vacuum over.
Can anyone offer a solution?
