Dear Listsetrv

In February of 2021, a company named Unlimited Tomorrow delivered a
myoelectric transradial arm to a young girl in the State of Georgia by mail
and without a licensed prosthetist. Here is a video of her unboxing the
arm...

This looks like a clear breach of the Georgia Licensure Law...

Previously this company has posted video's of prosthesis deliveries in
Washington State and Florida which also have licensure laws. I feel
strongly that all three of these states should investigate this company and
their use of direct-to-consumer delivery in the states

As well, I call on the members of the listserv to take action.

First, you should contact your congressional representatives to support
H.R. 1990 Medicare Orthotics and Prosthetics Patient-Centered Care Act
which bans drop-shipping to patients of custom fit and custom fabricated

Second, if you live in a state with licensure you should make your boards
aware of this company, their direct-to-consumer model (outlined in the
article below) and ask them to investigate if some of the 100 devices they

Third, because this company is currently marketing directly to amputees,
especially children, you should reach out to organizations and publications
to let them know that you don't want them to promote a company that appears
to be operating illegally.

For example, Unlimited Tomorrow hosting a workshop at ACPOC...

And Amplitude just wrote an article about Unlimited Tomorrow, its
direct-to-consumer model...
