Hi,
Here is the original post:
Has anyone used the iLink sensor or similar device on TLSO's for their patients?  We would love some feedback for any type of sensor tracking patient compliance.

I should further clarify the purpose of the original post.  We are well aware that ibuttons have been the norm for scoliosis patients that are seen in the clinic setting.   We are interested in using some sort of tracking compliance device for trauma patients that are hospitalized or in a rehab setting with the intent of going home.  We fabricate our own spinal bracing but would also like to use it with prefab braces.  So if anyone has done this successfully with trauma patients, please give us feedback!
Here are the responses we received:
Yes I’ve been using the I button you can receive through Boston Brace for almost a decade now

I thought everybody used them!  I’ve been using them in scoliosis TLSOs for many years (8-10).  They are expensive and rarely covered by insurance.  ($110 each)  Compliance is much better with than without them.  Spinal Tech has the ST tracker, which is less expensive than the Boston Brace buttons – so if you are just starting and need to get the software, etc, I’d go with ST. .   I also use them in all of my cranial remolding helmets.

I use the I-Button from Boston Brace to monitor wearing on all my scoli TLSO's.

Would you please let me know feedback on this as well?

I would love to hear your responses. Thanks in advance!

Thanks,
