I'm curious if any practitioners out there have used the Proteor Allux knee
and had problems with it. We have a patient who is a moderate to high
activity user who has had multiple issues. She damaged the pins in the
original charging port, which they later re-designed presumptively due to
multiple similar failures. She has worn the bearings out on the knee twice
within the span of a year and we have had to send it overseas for repairs
each time. Obviously this is a frustrating situation as it takes months to
get it back. By the time it came back, she had worn out the bearings on
the loaner. A rep from Proteor even came out to help program and make sure
the alignment was correct. Has anyone else had a similar experience with
this knee? Does anyone have suggestions for an alternative knee in the
future?
Thank you,
Matthew Harris, CPO
