Greetings,
My name is Chris Koressel, and I am a student attending California State
University, working on my masters in Prosthetics and Orthotics. Myself and
a classmate are working on our graduate research, which will investigate
the relationship and effect which access to mental health resources for
amputees, has on body image and depression. We are seeking permission from
you to seek study participants who will be asked to complete an online
survey, and will be asked basic demographic questions, as well as questions
to assess body image and depression.
All data collected will be intentionally de-identified, and kept strictly
anonymous. All participants will need is a link to the survey, which can be
completed online from home (or wherever they have internet access). We hope
to collect at least 25 subjects through reaching out to administrators of
online groups like yours.
We are looking for online support groups, email groups, Facebook groups or
any other platform which amputees would have access to become participants
in our research. We would appreciate any persons/group administrators who
may have leads to contact us directly at the email address below.
We hope this message finds you well, and look forward to our continued
dialogue. Please message with any concerns or questions.
Thanks,
Chris Koressel
