Hi.

We used to sew our own straps at my last place of work. We placed sticky back velcro hook and loop directly on the dacron and stitched it together without issue.
I am having difficulty getting my heavy duty Singer 4423 to do the same. I think it is plenty strong enough because it punches through the materials effortlessly.
However, after a few stitches it gets jammed up. I think it may have to do with the adhesive jamming up thread flow around the needle but I could be wrong. I
tried adjusting the tension more and less but no luck.

Does anyone have an ideas how to get this working? I like using the sticky back velcro over non because I like the more substantial feel and its easier to trim the straps
since the velcro won’t peel back. I’m halfway decent at sewing, but I never really paid attention to how our old sewing machine was setup and I am not so great at adjusting
and repairing them.

Thanks, Jeremy CPO
