Hi all,
I am looking for suggestions for bilateral wrist braces with thumb support for a patient of mine with a multitude of allergies. I have called many companies asking about materials used in their braces and every time I go back to the patient and let her know she says she's allergic to at least one of the materials. This patient has Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, with pain in her thumbs all the time. She has become progressively weaker and has lost ability to grip a lot of items. Ultimately we were hoping for something semi-flexible so she still has some ability to use what muscle she still has. She has allergies to: rubber, latex, certain type of glues, most neoprene, lycra... In my experience that kind of covers most of the braces I am familiar with. If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions I would greatly appreciate it! I am lost after a couple months of searching.
