Hello All,
Ramona Okumura, CP is retiring from the University of Washington this June. Over the years she has tirelessly and humbly shared her knowledge with us, touching the lives of students, patients and colleagues with her caring spirit, compassion and generosity. Her idioms...like stabilizing a “stick in jello” (referring to bones surrounded by tissue in the prosthetic socket), will stick with us forever!
We are planning to create a couple of personalized thank you gifts. The first is a photo mosaic with images that you think might strike a memory for her—examples include photos of you, your classmates, specific places, an object—you get the idea. We’ll have this mosaic printed and framed. Secondly, we’d like to create a large thank-you/good-luck-on-your-retirement card with short message from everyone.
Her retirement party is scheduled Friday, June 30th, 5-8:00pm at the Vista Café at the University of Washington.
If you are interested in attending, please contact <Email Address Redacted> for more details.
Here’s what we need from you before June 15th:
1. Photo/image submitted to <Email Address Redacted>
The ideal photo size is square, 260px x 260px.
If possible, please submit as a .jpeg or .tiff, but it also doesn’t matter - we can reformat it for you.
2. Submit a message for Ramona’s card to the same email address: <Email Address Redacted>
3. Shhhhh…don’t tell her what we’re doing!!
Thank you!
- Sue
