On behalf of Dr. Allen Heinemann at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, I am writing to invite you to participate in a research study, “Enhancing Quality of Orthortic Services with Process and Outcome Information” (Northwestern University IRB # STU00203034). This study seeks to describe orthotists’ preferences, priorities, and barriers to using quality measures for the care of AFO users.
Orthotists will participate in focus groups during which they discuss which patient-reported and performance outcomes to collect and any barriers to doing so with individuals who have experienced polytrauma or neurologic disorder, including stroke, and use an AFO. The focus groups will last approximately 1 hour. We will provide lunch and a $100 honorarium.
If you are planning to attend the Midwest Chapter Meeting of AAOP in Rosemont and are interested in participating, please contact Arielle Goldsmith, Project Manager, at <Email Address Redacted> or 312-238-0714to let her know if you are interested and available on Saturday, November 5 at 12pm.
Thank you.
