Dear List,

At least 6 years ago we mixed up a batch of cellulose acetate. We would use
this liquid to paint over an inner duraflex booty that would be molded
inside an AFO, then mold the polypro over top of this. It created a barrier
to release the inner booty. It has worked really well for many years. We
ran out of the stuff. We initially bought a big can of acetone from Home
Depot and mixed some kind of pellets (cellulose?) with it to make this
solution. We just can't remember where we got these pellets! I think we
were originally told this trick by the guys who sold/manufactured the
duraflex...for the life of me I cannot remember the company as we now have a
Canadian distributor.

So, any help with this? Anyone using something else as a barrier/release
agent when molding over duraflex? Where can I get these pellets to mix with
the acetone? Hard getting old and losing memory...

Thank you,
