Does anyone have any experience with amputees who have experienced limb
loss due to cancer and then had radiation on the limb after surgery?
Be curious to know if any adverse affects were experienced as a result of
the radiation therapy following the amputation surgery. Such as:
1. Increased phantom pain
2. Increased sensitivity or pain in the limb
3. Weaker or more sensitive skin and underlying tissues
4. Longer healing times.
5. Any other complications?
I assume it would be hard to definitively say a certain issue was caused by
additional radiation but any info or opinions would be appreciated.
Anyone have any experience or thoughts on these?
