Hi,
Due to the recent DME MAC Joint Publication regarding custom molding
requirements I have a question.
Which companies that produce custom molded diabetic inserts are actually
producing a positive model from CAD-CAM digital images or foam impression
boxes?
The Joint Publication has now made us question the actual fabrication
process used by the central fab/pedorthic fab companies that we might choose
to use. It is of concern that although the companies may have a PDAC letter
regarding their inserts, the companies may not be fabricating the inserts to
a positive model.
Sincerely,
Dale Beckham, CPA, CPOA
