Hello List,
I have a patient who will be having a transradial amputation and the surgeon is planning to use targeted muscle reinnervation (TRM) techniques. I am familiar with the benefits of TMR on higher level amputations (transhumeral, shoulder disarticulation) and how prosthesis design may change as a result, but the transradial level seems to be a fairly new surgical procedure from what I have read so far. If you have experience with TMR at the transradial level, I would greatly appreciate any information you can share with me (successes, challenges, prosthesis design / components considerations, surgical considerations, etc.).
Thank you in advance for your responses.
