Dear List!
I am seeking opinions of those, who used this suspension ring by Otto Bock. I had used it many years ago, before Otto Bock purchased it from another company on bare skin and with a nylon sheath. Both methods worked for some patients. One of the problems was to make it work with flexible inner socket (Proflex). I could never achieve good enough contour for the ring to stay in securely. I believe Itto Bock redesigned the dummy a bit. I intend to use it for a patient with reduced hand dexterity. She has hard time donning a locking liner. Operating a lock or a modified KISS system presents a problem for her. Also, she is on a fleshy side. My questions: 1. do you have positive experience using this device on bare skin? 2. If a Proseal liner is used, how easy is it to don it with poor hand dexterity? 3. Were you able to use flex inner sockets with this seal and what material worked best.
Thank you !!!
