Hello Everyone!.... I'm looking to get technical feedback and experiences
on what Flexible Laminate Resins, Acrylic, Epoxy or otherwise you are
currently using or may have used in the past, which you found to be
satisfactory to work with and of a good quality that provided the desired outcome? We
are looking for a resin that would allow us experiment with the amount of
flexibility.
We are in the process of developing a semi-flexible socket/interface for an
upper limb myoelectrically controlled hand prosthesis that will utilize
vacuum self-suspension and would like to get some input from those of you on
the OANDP-L? Unfortunately, this is not an application where a vacuum
formed semi-flexible thermoplastic would have application, as there needs to be
a good seal and/or bonding between the actual residual limb interface and
the exterior sculptured forearm with a quick-connect wrist.
Thank you in advance for whatever input and/or recommendations you might be
willing to share regarding your experinces!
With sincerest regards,
