Hi all,
I have a patient with post polio syndrome who wears a KAFO on her right
leg- drop locks, knee cap etc. She injured her left knee some time ago and
desperately needs a brace to control 25 degrees of recurvatum. During
stance she also goes into varus at both her knee and ankle. She is refusing
a KAFO, so I am looking for any ideas on a KO (we have tried the CHECK
brace) that will not cause undue pressure on her shin. She is 5'8, 180lbs.
Thank you all!
