Dear all,

I am a 15 year old high school student at the Washington International School in Washington, DC. For my Grade 10 project, I am designing and building an adjustable length prosthetic leg geared towards youth in developing countries.

For my design, (which is for transtibial amputees) I am eliminating the need for a socket, instead supporting the body's weight using a compression sleeve around the thigh, therefore removing pressure from the residuum and preventing discomfort.

If anyone would be willing to review my design in more detail so I can ensure its safety before beginning construction, please let me know and I will send some scans of it.

Thanks,
