Real-world activity monitoring recently has become reimbursable by the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) for veterans with lower limb prostheses. This presentation reviews the VA activity monitor criteria, provides information on the monitors approved for reimbursement, and outlines the process for utilizing activity monitoring with the veteran population, including how to interpret changes in walking metrics.
