Hi List, and thanks for your answers. Seems a LOT of you like the Rush
feet!

Have you considered a low profile triton 1c63 with OB torsion adaptor? I
know the torsion adapter isn't technically waterproof - but if he's not
submerging said prosthesis, a cosmetic cover may make it splash proof.

I don't think the thing you're looking for exists either. I would
probably compromise and try to squeeze a Triton Heavy Duty in there for
walking function, if too tall - the low profile. Personally, I find
torsion and shock absorption are more glamour options, and easy for
clients to do without.

 

Good luck. Look into the Rush 87. If not, then a good waterproof boot
like he is wearing on his sound side.

 

 

The Rush foot is a pretty durable option, and excellent for uneven
terrain (better than any carbon option other than a hydraulic ankle).
It's relatively easy to clean because the footshell is comparatively
easy to remove. If clearance is an issue, the Rush81 functions pretty
much the same as the Rush87.

 

Look at Ability Dynamics' Rush foot.

 

I would suggest a Rush foot. Water resistant and very durable. You may
not get the high degree of rotation, but it by far makes up for that.
All my patients love it compared to the other feet they have had.

 

Our clients do all use their prostheses in harsch environments. From our
experience we have objectively recommended feet from the major
manufacturers in the list below.
As AK amputee myself I tested most of them. It's easy to find a good
energy return foot that is also guaranteed for all these harsh
environments. Some of them offer very good vertical shock absorbtion
from their design (as AK amp I am looking for this more than a BK amp).
It's more tricky when it comes to rotation. Actually I am not aware of a
foot including this feature with a decent mud/wet/damp environment
guarantee. I would recommend to add an adapter separate form the foot so
that you can change it without changing the whole foot.
I am not sure that such an adapter will offer you a decent guarantee,
anticipate some damage......





LP rotate from Ossur and triton VS from Ottobock are both good reliable
choices for what you looking for.

 

 

Best solution we have is the Rush foot, it comes in R81 & R87 high and
low profiles.

The Rush is designed for any conditions, has very good vertical
compression, some rotation absorption, and high energy return.

The Flexion material used in the Rush foot makes it far more durable for
wet, dirty conditions as compared to carbon composites.


With a 260 mm ground clearance you could fit either the Rush 87 or Rush
81 feet,



 

AllPro foot by Fillauer. Comes in four build heights from 6 to 12.
Multiaxial function with good dynamic response. Sandal toe.
