Hello everyone,
I have an experienced AK user with skin fit suction and a flexible liner made from proflex with silicone. His previous prosthesis is about 15 years old and made with an unknown flexible plastic liner. Looks to be similar to proflex, but it's very old and very soiled, so it's hard to tell.
After wearing the new prosthesis for a couple days he is complaining of burning and itching. He's using the same lotion to don and the fit is much better than his previous prosthesis. Has anyone ran into a negative skin reaction to proflex with silicone and if so, what did you do to resolve it?
Any info would be much appreciated.
