Here are the responses, my apologies for taking so long to post, time flys.........

Wouldn't use anything else.
Too efficient and simple, NO PAPER!!!!

We used E-Fax, then My-Fax, then RingCentral...all worked well, but each change brought a lower and lower cost.

Then we change to a VOIP phone system and they gave us the electronic fax capabilities with the service.
Each fax was able to be distributed to up to 5 email addresses within the company. It worked well for a single location.
I would imagine it would work just as well for multiple locations as each would have their own fax line/efax number and you can set the distribution for each line
Works great. We have used it since going more paperless years ago. Great that it drops into the email and can be pulled up at any time, anywhere

We have used it for several years. Don't know the exact program but all faxes go to main server and accessible by all three office and on call staff when needed. You can contact my office manager, John Gillespie, for more info.
Good luck

we have been using one for years. the best thing is the ability to look at faxes off site. I can call them up on my phone to look at them. Also there is no problems with ever loosing a fax. They are saved to your email account.
As for cost, not sure but remember to weight the cost against the reduction in paper, upkeep of fax machine security of never losing a fax, being able to view faxes from anywhere. Also, if using electronic note system, you need to scan in the faxes anyway.
Hope this helps

It's much easier and doesn't keep your fax line tied up when you receive an overload of medical records. You can copy and paste exactly what you need into the electronic records. Saves a ton of paper as well. I strongly recommend!

So I got a really good deal on Xerox WORKCENTRE 7545. It's a
multi-function coper/printer/fax/scanner ect... What is good about it is
that it has the capability to drop the in-coming fax into a folder on the front office desktop in a PDF format. Then our staff transfers that into the patient electronic account. I've been using it for over a year now with no glitches. Also we scan id's, rx and any paper for the patient too and have eliminated all paper charts! There is an option on the front of the machine to name your scans so you don't end up with a bunch of PDF files that are named by date and time 0223161552. We are also running the new version of Adobe PDF which we can edit, bundle and do all sorts of things with the PDF if needed.

We are using e-fax for in bound but using a regular fax for out bound. We LOVE e-fax for in bound faxes. They come in like an e-mail and we are able to forward them to whomever they are for or delete if they are junk faxes.
No more paper constantly coming in and someone having to sort through the sheets and figure out what goes with what. Not all that constant noise of the fax running. Less paper used because if it is something like medical records for a patient we can save and then upload to our computer system and don't have to print anything out. It's great. Our staff has adjusted well and like it so much better. We also have it set up that anyone, at any of our three offices, can check the faxes. We have them coming in to three different folders for each office but we all have access to all of them. We have a designated person checking them at each office continually during the day, but, if someone is waiting for something that is going to a particular office, they can access those too.

We will likely look to e-fax for out bound at some point in the future as well. Hope this helps.

efax is more efficient because you only print the pages you want, delete the junk right away. We have ours sent to email that several people have access to, we print the pages we need, we store the files in folders (you name the folders) and delete the faxes every 3-6 months. I think we pay 10 extra a month

What works for us is a fax machine that sends the image to an email address. It allows the ability to print/send if you want, or view the email. Plus you no longer have to scan received faxes. Just send the pdf fax to an electronic chart. Saves 2 steps, printing then scanning into the chart and junk faxes are deleted instead of printing out.

It's great for weekend work. A hospital can fax you and you can read the email from your phone from anywhere. You print very few pages as a result. It only made less work for the staff. They love it.

We started using e-fax shortly after our transition to Opie & we use their e-fax. Basically, all faxes are sent through our server with a click of a button. It saves my admin staff so much time that yes, definitely worth the $. Faxes are received uniquely. We receive faxes for 3 offices and they are routed via a pdf file in an email to the appropriate staff member at the appropriate office. That pdf file can then be saved directly into the patient chart. No paper needed, no trees cut. :) I think we pay $40/month for the service. Our local phone carrier offers a similar service cheaper, but I cannot imagine it's as clean or efficient.

We are looking into e-fax through OPIE, thanks to all who responded, what a wonder resource.

God bless to all,
