Hello list,
The Amputee Coalition is currently accepting applications for two scholarships that provide support for high school seniors or college freshman who have limb loss/difference to go to college.
The Christina M. Skoski, MD Scholarship provides support for a young adult with limb loss/difference who possess an outstanding academic record and have lofty professional goals. One recipient is selected each year based on a mix of their college entrance exams scores, High School academic performance and personal statement of their professional goals.
The Scott Decker, MD Memorial Scholarship provides support to high school seniors, recent high school graduates, veterans returning to college, and current college students. Recipients are selected based on their life experiences, personal statement, and academic record. Preference is given to applicants from the State of Maryland. However, anyone with limb loss/difference in the United States who meets the eligibility requirements may apply.
More information about these scholarships is available on the Coalition's website - <URL Redacted>. The application deadline for both scholarships is April 6th, 2016. All application materials must be postmarked by this deadline.
