I have a patient, 52 y/o male, that has had multiple Right shoulder operations, he has had multiple infections after a shoulder prosthesis operation, then removed that, put a spacer in, and now has no prosthesis or spacer...He has decrease shoulder/elbow function. Patient struggles to get his hand to his mouth. He does have some ROM and minimal strength. Looking for possibly a prosthosis, with almost an elbow excursion amplifier or an idea like that. We have thought of an ultraflex with torsion joint turned up but patient has MMT of 3/5 with elbow extension and would likely not be able to extend against the torsion.

Just trying to come up with something, possible humeral and forearm cuff with a joint that amplifies patients ROM in elbow flexion. Has anyone done anything like that?

Thank you in advance!!
