By my reading of the Medicare Supplier Manual a PA, nurse practitioner, and
clinical nurse specialist can sign a Rx for a prosthetic and document the
necessity via office visit/chart notes without any co signature by a doctor
(a few rules seem to apply like the person is licensed in the state to see
Pt's and write Rxs and the Pt is being treated by the person signing the Rx
etc).
anyone read it differently or disagree?
