I came across this post on 3ders.org. There is a company in China that is now manufacturing a 3D printer specifically for prosthetics. The interesting thing is that this printer is capable of using multiple materials and has a very large build volume at 400x600x750mm. There is no indication of cost. Something to keep an eye on.
