Hello List,
I have client who is an active young adult bilateral ankle disarticulation patient. He is not interested in cosmetic shaping or foam filling of the ‘hardware gap’ at the ankle. His request is to have a durable, skin coloured, rubberized coating applied directly to his composite sockets. No Pelite covering, no rubber socks. Over the years he has had many sockets, which very quickly look all torn up from active use. I’ve heard Kingsley makes a paint-on product (slightly less hazardous to apply than spray on). Any other suggestions? Leather?
Thanks in advance.
