Has your office experienced repeated denials from Obamacare issued policies
from insurance companies for normally covered services with the explanation
that orthotics are not a covered service or the maximum benefit has been
reached ?
The New York State Department of Financial Services is interested in looking
at these denial as a global issue, representing a misinterpretation of the
benefits provisions under the Affordable Care Act or a willful disregard for
its provisions.
If your office is experiencing these erroneous denial and then having to
wait 60 to 90 days for a resolution, I would be glad to hear from you.
I would compile this data and present it to NYDFS for their review.
Please provide a contact number so I could get some particulars from you.
Thank you.
