Hi List,

Thank you for all those who provided suggestions for a pediatric gel liner. The following suggestions were made to address the issue of a conical, pediatric limb:

- Alps skin reliever
- Ossur distal gel cups within a silicone liner
- In-house custom distal end pad
- Upper extremity liner
- Ossur pediatric liner
- Custom liner (Evolution Industries, OWW, Custom Silicone Fabricators)

ORIGINAL POST:
I am seeking help in finding a product that is similar to a silosheath, but
that comes in smaller sizes or different profiles. I have a pediatric
transtibial patient who has a very conical residual limb with quite a prominent
distal tibia with little tissue coverage. She is currently struggling with
pressure and shear occurring at the distal end. I would like to provide her with
a minimal gel liner to aid in protecting the skin at the distal end of her limb.
I have tried the smallest size silosheath as well as willowood and evolution
industries liners on her limb, however the profile is inappropriate and is far
too baggy at the distal end. Is anyone aware of a similar product that comes in
even smaller sizes? Has anyone found any successful interface liners that would
work for a conical shaped pediatric limb?
