Hello List,
As a Canadian prosthetist I am familiar with the US “K-Level” categories and OttoBock’s “MOBIS” Mobility System and have a pretty good understanding of what each of these means. I also realize that some components may be rated K2 in one area, but MOBIS 3 in another. As far as I know, there is no Canadian or internationally accepted standard for mobility levels. What system, if any, is in use in other parts of the world to categorize or quantify an amputees ability to use a prosthesis to a certain level or performance? Is everyone adopting the US “K-Levels” or are there others? I’d be interested in hearing from our international colleagues.
Thanks,
