Dear List service subscribers,
Last Autumn 2014, our company purchased the G-Walk system with the intent of
having more documentation to back up claims of functional level for our
patients. We believe in the vast supportive information that is available
from the G-Walk system, however, we have had numerous and consistent issues
with maintaining the Bluetooth connectivity between the G-Sensor and the
laptop that was supplied. We had a faulty G-Sensory that was replaced, but
the issue remained with poor connectivity when streaming live data. Both the
G-Sensor and laptop have been sent back to be reviewed by IT for BTS
Engineering and returned. Several remote sessions have taken place with IT
support that initially seemed to resolve the connectivity issue only to fail
again. The batch function was not an issue, as it is not live streaming,
however the intent of the system is to be able to use either function
consistently.
We have tried our system in our various locations and the issue is the same.
We have been told by BTS Engineering the inconsistent connectivity may be an
environmental issue. I'm not an electrical engineer, but I have no issues to
this extent with several other Bluetooth supported devices that are used in
our practice that IT could not resolve with one or 2 visits .
Has anyone had an issue with the following:
1) Connectivity dropping off?
2) Have to reboot the program to reestablish connectivity again during the
same session with a patient?
I'd appreciate any feedback of your experience with the G-Walk system.
Thank you-
