Hello All,Especially UE specialists... how often can a person using their Medicare benefits receive a new AE prosthesis?

This fella received a 70 thousand dollar dust collector--- myo AE  in 2011.  Tried to return it within the 1st 90 days d/t ill fitting/painful socket & his inability to get the myo to work.   He was told each time he tried to return it: work with for a while, you'll get it!  Meanwhile the company made him a free conventional arm to use for his farm work!  Then magically the 90 day warranty period was up!   Yep, gotta love corporate prosthetics!
I digress.  The last conventional arm was billed & covered in the early 90's, so I'm thinking he's good to go for a conventional arm (?).  Yes, he is still farming, wears his conventional arm all day everyday, it is worn out & he's lost enough muscle mass so that the socket fit is horrendous. As always,Thank you for the inputRick Rick Milen, CPO, LPO, PTA
