I have a TF amputee who wants to go scuba diving this summer. He has only
used an Ossur Seal-in liner method of suction suspension since his
amputation. I would anticipate that this method of suspension would fail as
soon as he would submerge under the water. I am considering continuing with
a Seal-in liner but using subischial trimlines and adding an auxiliary
suspension sleeve. I would also suspect that a shorty style snug wetsuit
might also offer some benefits. Can anyone with a transfemoral amputee who
has successfully gone scuba diving offer suggestions on suspension and
componentry?
