Hi,
I have a new pediatric patient that has a congenital BE amputation. He has never had or showed interest in a prosthesis until now. I am thinking from the evaluation I had with him and his mom of a cosmetic prosthesis that he could use for sports, cartwheels, etc. What age do other practitioners find is a good time to start with a functional prosthesis? Suggestions for prosthetic designs?

Thanks.
