Hello List

I have a question that I thought I knew the answer too, but maybe something
changed in the last few years. When billing Medicare or in fact any
insurance, I was always under the
Impression that we were not able to bill for anything until the patient
received and SIGNED for the final product. The only time, our clinics we
owned in Seattle and our new clinic has
Ever wavered from this is when the patient passed away or if the patient had
a very valid medical reason for not being able to go to a completed
prosthesis. In this case we would only bill for Labor and material cost -
as components could usually be returned. Has this been changed, because
almost every week I am told about patients being out on Test sockets and
having had complete billing done by the clinics they are working at.

Any one care to help me out of this confusion.
