I am a competitor on American Ninja Warrior Season 7. I am competing in the
Military Episode. I am hoping to win money for Shriners Hospitals on
American Ninja Warrior this year. I have pledged any and all winnings I may
receive from the show to go directly to Shriners Hospital. American Ninja
Warrior is a tough competition and a single misstep could end it all in the
blink of an eye. Because nothing is certain in competition, it's very
important to me that *whether I* *win or lose, the kids need to win.* To do
this, I am trying to raise money for Shriners Hospital here as well.
Shriners Hospital has long been a pillar of expertise and generosity in
pediatric medicine (since 1922). They do great things every day and are a
national treaure.
To quote them directly:
Shriners Hospitals for Children has a mission to:
- Provide the highest quality care to children with neuromusculoskeletal
conditions, burn injuries and other special healthcare needs within a
compassionate, family-centered and collaborative care environment.
- Provide for the education of physicians and other healthcare
professionals.
- Conduct research to discover new knowledge that improves the quality
of care and quality of life of children and families.
*This mission is carried out without regard to race, color, creed, sex or
sect, disability, national origin or ability of a patient or family to pay.*
It is my belief that despite the efforts of our government to improve
health care for children, the need for Shriners Hospitals will only
increase each year. We have seen major changes in health care in the last
few years. Many of these changes have benefited special needs children, but
there have been some down sides too. One issue of note that I see in my
practice is the trend of higher and higher deductibles working families
must endure. I see many families that make too much for medicaid, but not
enough to ease the struggle with their deductible when their child has an
emergency. When it comes to pediatriac medicine, economic consideration
should never be a deciding factor. Shriners Hospitals is there for these
kids too, providing amazing care AND protecting the family from economic
ruin.
*Please help me support them, as they continue to support us all.*
Donating through the website ( www.AmericanNinja4kids.com ) is simple,
fast and totally secure. FirstGiving.com manages the funds and directs your
donation straight to Shriners Hospitals. It is the most efficient way to
support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone
who you think might want to donate too!
