Here are the recommended systems from fellow listserv members to my original question regarding video recording and gait analysis software systems. The two most popular were PnO Data Solutions and Dartfish based on number of responses. If I end up acquiring one of these systems I will pass along my feedback after the purchase and use of the product. Original question shown below responses:
PnO Data Solutions (Siliconcoach)
Ubersense (iPad App)

Dear Colleagues,
We are looking to invest in video recording equipment & software to capture patients' gait. Thanks in advance for any input or feedback. Currently we are using several cameras (stationed to capture sagittal and coronal views simultaneously), but are having to take the raw data and turn it into something useful or worthy of presentation. We're not a research lab and are not looking for motion capture devices, or anything really expensive. Here are my specific questions:
1) Do you have a recommendation for software the easily lets you take raw video data and create side by side videos?
2) Do you have any recommendations for a video capture system that makes this whole process more user friendly and easier?
Sincerely,
