Good afternoon,
I would like to solicit some advice.
Question: How do you handle non-covered or experimental items? Say for example, your patient desires an item that does not have an assigned billing code and based on past experience (billing a miscellaneous code) you know will not be covered. Does providing these items as a cash sale jeopardize your insurance contract, or violate any ethics rules?
Thank you in advance for your input!
