Good morning everyone,

A number of interesting cases here lately. This one is a 2 month old female with Kuskokwim Syndrome, which is an Alaskan condition akin to arthrogryposis. We typically end up bracing them (once ambulatory) with KAFOs with knee extension caps/joints. This little girl has already escaped two sets of knee extension casts put on by the orthopedic physician and he is looking to try and stretch out her bilateral knee flexion contractures (approximately 30 and 40 degrees) with orthoses. Trouble is, she is a small 2 month old-- her legs are only about 5 long with circumferences of mid-thigh 7.25 and mid-calf 5.25.

From what I'm finding, even the small pediatric products are much too big which makes me think of something custom but I'm wondering if there is anything else out there. Thoughts?

Thanks in advance for your advice!
