ORIGINAL POST: This female patient is 5'1 and 255 lbs. measuring 57 inches
circumference. She rejects the LSOs I tried on her and wants a thinner
support, perhaps a strong elastic material. Is anyone aware of such a
support that might fit either prefab or custom? Please steer me towards a
manufacturer who might be able to work with me on this.Randy McFarland, CPO

UPDATE: I tried a prefab pendulous abdomen elastic support but neigher she
nor I liked the fit. Now we're looking for a pull up panty type elastic
support. I'm not worring about the LSO support as much as I am trying to
support/control the pendulous abdomen issue. I'm dealing with 60
circumference.

Not sure which brace you have tried. We can probably help. Out ProLift is 22
ounces. Our LS is 16 ounces. Both go to 4XL simple for her to use. She can
eliminate pieces as she improves. Call us at 610-404-4900 Or check us out at
xbackbrace.com.

Trulife has a division in Canada that could make you a custom
(nonreturnable) garment. Speak to Melissa Cloutier @ 613-392-7535 or
800-267-2812, Ext 228. It would be extremely helpful if you can provide them
with the model number of one of their own products that you would want
duplicated to your specifications.

We have used Trulife to custom-make a large hernia support for a client.
This is in Canada but I would think you could get the same service from them
in the U.S. Our technician is a skilled seamstress so she was able to work
with the people at Trulife to come up with a good design for our patient.
