It is my understanding that Medicare does not cover anything for Diabetic
wound/ulcers except for shoes and inserts? However the rest of my staff
thinks its ok to put Cam Walkers on these patients. It states in Medicare
policy that L4386 is considered an Afo and can only be used for
weakness/deformity.
Can you guys help me to clarify this? Thanks in advance for your help.
