The patient (myself) is a 26 yo female with a rotationplasty (aka amputee
with van ness reconstruction). The cause of the amputation was
osteosarcoma 16 years ago, unlike the usual associated diagnosis of PFFD.
What would be the appropriate diagnosis code (ICD-9) for billing purposes
to describe the level of amputation since it is not associated with PFFD in
any way?
In addition is there an acceptable base code (L-code) for a Van Ness
prosthesis?
Thank you for your time and any feedback you may be able to give.
