Aloha,
We have been told by members of the the US Departartment of Defense that
there is no mandate for puncture and blast resistance for combat boots and
therefore it is not needed.
Does anyone have any feedback on how we can assure the subject matter
experts at DoD and Army that improvements with composite materials in
combat boots is needed and warranted.
We have completed a phase 1 SBIR testing contract for the US Department of
Defense and Army Medical Research and Materials Command for Advanced
Composite Insoles for the Reduction of Stress Fractures.
Our results are posted under the MAREN tab at www.kingetics.com. We are
making an Army compliant boots that weigh 20% less have 300-1000% the
puncture resistance and had the highest flame resistance ratings over the
currently issued boots and we are being told that these attributes are not
necessary for soldier safety.
Your feedback and understanding of this technology would be appreciated and
will help our soldiers and other loved ones in harms way.
