Hello,
I would appreciate your help in establishing average hand size of amputees. In your experience of dealing with upper-limb amputees, what is the most common size of hand for men and the most common for women - measured in the usual place across the palm, just below the knuckles (these figures seem to be anywhere between 7”-9”).
For those who have experience in fitting myo-electric hands do you find that the standard available sizes are appropriate for the majority of amputees or are you being constrained by what is available?
On another matter, can anyone point me in the direction of statistics for arm disarticulation length?
Regards,
Gaynor
